Our first day for trail rides will be MAY 26TH! Our phone line is on vacation until one week before we open so do not worry if you received a disconnected message when you call. We will be taking reservations starting the 19th!

Double L Oufitters offers trail rides for anyone who wants to enjoy nature in a different way. No experience is needed! One hour trail rides are available for everyone 8 years or older. Depending on the weather, our guides will take you on one of the 10+ trails. If it is really hot, we will try to stay in the woods. There is also lots of grassland to ride through on nicer days. It is not uncommon to see deer and turkeys on our rides.

Two hour rides that go all around the lake are offered for more experienced riders who are 18 years or older. This ride includes walking, trotting, and cantering. It is a much faster paced ride and not for those who have never ridden before.

Two hour rides are also available at a walk only. This trail does not go all around the lake, but covers a large amount of Moraine View. It is also possible for some trotting to be included in all of our rides. It is up to the rider to control the horse if they start to trot up a hill.

Pony rides are offered for children 7 and younger. These rides are for a half hour. If you have more than one child, you are welcome to switch them on and off during your half hour. The parent or guardian is in charge of leading the pony around in our large grassy area.

We also offer a chance for Girl Scout troops to earn two badges (horse rider and horse fan). If a Boy Scout group has the same options, let us know and we would be glad to teach you anything you need to know!

Half hour trail rides are available for large school or church groups as a special reservation.

We now have tractor-pulled hayrack rides available during the entire season!!!!!!!!
